...How to Go to Heaven?

FIRST, YOU MUST ADMIT THAT YOU ARE A SINNER. The Bible tells us that, "...there is none that doeth good, no, not one" (Romans 3:12) and, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

SECOND, YOU MUST REALIZE THE PENALTY OF SIN - DEATH IN HELL. The Bible says that, "the wages (or paymen) of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23). "Our sin separates us from God who cannot look upon sin (Isaiah 59:2).

THIRD, YOU MUST RECOGNIZE THAT CHRIST DIED FOR YOU. Again the Bible tells us that God loved us enough to send His Son to die for our sins (John 3:16). "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). It's only through Christ that we can have forgiveness of our sins (I John 1:9 & 2:2).

FOURTH, YOU MUST REPENT OF (TURN FROM) (LUKE 13:3, 5) YOUR SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS, SELF-EFFORT, AND SINFUL SELF-SEEKING THAT NAILED CHRIST TO THE CROSS AND TRUST ALONE IN HIS PAYMENT FOR YOUR SIN DEBT AS YOUR ONLY HOPE OF ENTERING HEAVEN (John 3:18; Acts 20:21; 10:36-43).

FIFTH, YOU MUST RECEIVE CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR. The Bible says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13). It is Jesus Christ, and He alone, that can save us from death in hell and give us an eternal home in heaven (John 14:6; Acts 4:12).

According to the Bible, once you have accepted these five points, you must pray and ask God to forgive you of your sins and to come into your heart and save you (Romans 10:9, 10).

               A.  Admit that you are a sinner and are in need of a Savior.

               B. Believe that Christ died for you.

               C. Confess your sins.

               D. Don't wait until tomorrow for tomorrow may never come.
